Heya! I’m Kaiden! To me, art is all about your perspective. It changes based on your experiences, and I value the journey just as much as the end result. Variance is important to me, and I love seeing passion shine through design.
They say ‘to be loved is to be known’ and that is exactly how I wish others to view ‘Lost & You Are Found’. Every belonging has its story, and this collection of mundane items crafts a unique narrative looking into the lives of three friends. You, the viewer, take the role of one of these friends, West, and you are tasked with helping your friend Xavier find some of his belongings that he’s lost in between yours.
Although the viewer is an outsider to this group, I aim to help others empathize with their bond through West’s eyes. His narration while the viewer rummages through his storage box implies a very personal and nostalgic perspective, and although they are all fictional, the joy they feel by being with each other is very real and can be related to even with the digital barrier separating us from them.
The BA Graphic and Digital Design programme is rooted in experimentation across digital and analogue media, deep collaboration and a focused engagement with visual and material culture. We are a community of visual thinkers and makers, passionate about typography and language, narrative and storytelling, motion graphics and moving image, art direction, photography and image making. We understand design as broad and complex, multi-layered and detailed, crafted and accidental. Combining professional practice and creative research with technical skills, our programme develops curious students into designers of the future.
