BA Animation

Isobelle Divers

Hi!! I’m Isobelle. I am a final year animation student and aspiring character and animal rigger. I wish to build on the skills I have and be ready for the creative industry!

Unnecessary War

I am producing an animation that explores the theme of unnecessary war. In my animation the king Jackson receives a letter, but he ends up tossing it in the fire what he does know is that the letter contains a piece offering from the kingdom he is currently at war with (Nova’s kingdom) the story then takes you through the destruction of the lives that where lost. The animation then shows the realisation on Jackson’s face where he sees this war isn’t worth losing people’s lives over and understands he should have read the letter, to better understand what nova wanted all along which was piece.

Transcript

This scene starts with knight’s from Jackson’s kingdom coming to him to deliver a letter, that was from nova the leader of the other kingdom. Without reading the contents he throws it in the fireplace thinking it’s a ploy to get him to give up. We cut to at the battle field and both sets of soldiers are ready for war.

Our BA Animation programme is one of the UK’s most forward-looking, industry-focused animation programmes. It combines a rich, practice-orientated mix of 2D, 3D and experimental animation with an emphasis on storytelling, character design, and immersive animation. Through a strong studio culture, our students develop and share skills across artistic direction, digital sculpting, industry-standard renderings, game design, visual effects, and innovative storytelling. The curriculum is designed to convey best practice in animation and a solid foundation for a career in the Creative Industries, with vocational skills development and student-led learning taking centre stage.
