Remembering Merton

‘Remembering Merton’ is a project that illuminates a lesser-known borough of London through the memories people have of growing up there.  The project aims to understand how much people embrace their hometown through what they have done in different areas by having actual conversations about it. And how much the memories on display can relate to audiences who grew up in similar environments. The project consists of 10 posters of areas of Merton with text relating to their memories scattered on each of them that will be put on display at the exhibition, along with 8 short videos with people talking about their bond with Merton through areas in the town on several screens.

Media

Our BA Media and Communications programme provides an academic, creative and critical understanding of the media for roles in a variety of creative industries and backgrounds. By the end of our Media and Communications degree, you’ll know how to produce creative content across different kinds of media, including writing, camera use, sound recording and post-production/editing. The course supports students in developing a broad portfolio of independent critical and creative outputs, and to explore how their own practice relates to the real-world media and creative industries.
