Fragments of Memory

Fragments of Memory explores the fragile, distorted nature of personal and collective memory through experimental filmmaking. Using layered interviews, blurred visuals, and emotional sound design, the project examines how memories shift, fade, and become fragmented over time. The film weaves together real participant voices with abstract, dreamlike imagery to create an immersive reflection on forgetting, distortion, and emotional survival.
Alongside the film, the project expands into a physical installation, using stitched photographs and broken text to represent the unstable, fragile stitching of memory.
Fragments of Memory invites the viewer to experience memory not as a fixed truth, but as a shifting, personal reconstruction of the past.

The course supports students in developing a broad portfolio of independent critical and creative outputs, and to explore how their own practice relates to the real-world media and creative industries.
