Hi, I’m Hayden. I am recent graduate of BA Architecture with an interest in tactile spaces and our imperceptible ties to the built environment.
My dissertation has allowed me to challenge myself in combining my love for storytelling with applied theoretical knowledge. It has developed my skills in effective communication, in-depth research and the interdisciplinary thinking that is essential when pursuing a career in architecture.I leaned into the subject of the London Underground, as I was looking to investigate a local space, or piece of architecture that, to me, was seemingly inescapable. Despite searching for a narrative that would summarise my personal experience of travelling beneath the streets of London, I soon felt too restricted by the historical period in which my experiences took place.
And so, in imagining stories (fact or fiction), time-travelling between them and ‘interrupting’ them, I put together this anthology of stories that allows a reader to escape what they think they know about the London Underground.

BA Architecture is a three-year full-time programme offering exemption from ARB/RIBA Part 1, and the first step towards a career as an architect. The programme interweaves the disciplines of architectural design, histories and theories, technology, and professional practice. The design studio is central to the work students undertake, with year 2 and 3 students taught together in design units. Each unit addresses a different brief and design agenda. This is a rigorous and highly inventive programme, dedicated to architectural ways of designing, thinking and seeing the world. It provides students will skillsets applicable to a wide range of careers.
