On Afghan battlefields where lives are lost, holds the token of a broken family that’s in search of their silver lining. War does not determine who is right – only who is left. In this Kentish family, what’s left is Emily and Danny drowning their grief in drinks, Lee is caught between their crossfire meanwhile, Sammy and Charlie manage their inner angst. Outbursts to drunken threats, sorrowful guilts and rage, spiral the family into chaos. Yet amongst all, the hope from a cuddle seems enough to settle it.
