Unsettled

‘Unsettled’ is a migrant’s zine, representing two contrasting angles of moving away from home. In a series of female migrant stories and experiences, the zine explores how experiences are subjective, and how feelings and thoughts can be seen and interpreted differently.
The zine comes with two pairs of glasses, but not your ordinary 3D glasses. Depending on which colour you put on, you see a completely different story.
The blue glasses will show a glimpse of the hopes and dreams of moving away from home, and the red ones: the harsh truth of being away.
The aim of this project is to inspire its viewers and readers to look at life from different angles. So next time you are met with hardships or positivity in your life (whether related to migration or not), you will remember.
Which colour do you choose?

Media

Our Media and Communications degree provides an academic, creative and critical understanding of the media for roles in a variety of creative industries and backgrounds. By the end of our Media and Communications degree, you’ll know how to produce creative content across different kinds of media, including writing, camera use, sound recording and post-production/editing. The course supports students in developing a broad portfolio of independent critical and creative outputs, and to explore how their own practice relates to the real-world media and creative industries.
