Hello, I’m Lauryn Bennett, a dental nurse turned creative strategist studying Creative Advertising and Art Direction. I combine clinical experience with cultural insight to create thoughtful, satirical work. My project Pearly White Lies explores Turkey Teeth and dental tourism, using storytelling and design to reveal the truth behind cosmetic treatment culture.
Pearly White Lies is a no-filter brand that exposes the true reality behind the popular Turkey Teeth trend. Through spoof ads and invasive honesty Pearly White Lies breaks down the allure of dental tourism and exposes what really happends when you chase a perfect and Hollywood smile abroad. Low expectations are encouraged.
Our Media and Communications degree provides an academic, creative and critical understanding of the media for roles in a variety of creative industries and backgrounds. By the end of our Media and Communications degree, you’ll know how to produce creative content across different kinds of media, including writing, camera use, sound recording and post-production/editing. The course supports students in developing a broad portfolio of independent critical and creative outputs, and to explore how their own practice relates to the real-world media and creative industries.
