Ana Eliza Lopes

Creative Advertising and Art Direction Graduate 2025

Hi, I’m Ana, a visual art director with a passion for creative storytelling and bringing ideas to life through design. I enjoy developing visual concepts that connect with people and create engaging experiences.

Mirror

Mirror is a narrative-driven detective game that follows the final movements of detective Emma Hyde, with each level presenting scenarios that reflect real experiences faced by women in everyday life. The project is rooted in research into feminism and women’s lived experiences, exploring how these stories are often overlooked, misunderstood, or normalised. We chose to communicate this through gameplay as a language to build empathy and reflection.`

As a team, our skills complemented each other naturally. Ella focused on research, copywriting, and narrative development, shaping the game’s story and blueprint, as well as creating the immersive installation. Ana developed the visual direction and game assets, and produced the advertising campaign that extends the world of the game beyond the screen.

Media

Our Media and Communications degree provides an academic, creative and critical understanding of the media for roles in a variety of creative industries and backgrounds. By the end of our Media and Communications degree, you’ll know how to produce creative content across different kinds of media, including writing, camera use, sound recording and post-production/editing. The course supports students in developing a broad portfolio of independent critical and creative outputs, and to explore how their own practice relates to the real-world media and creative industries.
