Hey, I’m Nadia! I’m a Web Designer and Developer passionate about blending creativity with clean, accessible code.

My major project, Decoded is a website used to discover the lyrical side of hip hop. As a lover of hip hop music who appreciates the craft of the music in its entirety, I wanted to share the joyful experience of listening to hip hop music when you can deeply understand the lyrics and their craft. The website not only focuses on the lyrics themselves, but the linguistic techniques and the cultural slang buried within them. Conducting user research, exploring target audiences, user journey and empathy mapping all contributed to the content of the website, ensuring the site is successful in its purpose. Decoded was built using a custom WordPress theme produced from various iterations of static prototypes in HTML, CSS & JavaScript. I loved the process, and it has provided me with good knowledge of web design and development, preparing me for a career in the web industry.
