Hi, I’m Lera, and I’m a web designer with an interest in illustration, graphic design, and animation.
The aim of my master’s project was to provide reliable, useful, and engaging information about Ukrainian folklore creatures. One key goal was to ensure the content was clear and easy to read, supporting a strong UI and UX.
I began by researching competitors, identifying a niche, developing user personas, and defining the “job to be done”. I then moved on to prototyping in Figma, before gradually implementing my ideas in WordPress, which runs on PHP. This stage was my biggest challenge.
Another significant part of the project was creating the website’s branding, including the logo, deciding on colour palettes, defining illustration styles, and experimenting with layouts, and making it all accessible.
This project helped me truly understand what creating a website looks like at each stage, gaining a profound knowledge of the field.
