Aron Reji Koshy

Media and Communication Graduate 2026

Hello, I’m Aron. A creative exploring the strange relationship between brands, identity, and the stories we create about people. I make speculative projects, interactive experiences, and occasionally overcomplicate things in the name of research.

Face Value

Face Value is a social deduction board game exploring how brands influence the assumptions we make about strangers. Set around the investigation into the death of Elliot Warren, players navigate a network of evidence connected to lifestyle brands, social spaces, and consumer identities while attempting to determine responsibility. As the investigation unfolds, players begin constructing narratives from incomplete information, often relying on brand associations and behavioural shortcuts rather than objective evidence. Developed through research into consumer culture, identity signalling, and a lot of board game nights, the project transforms unconscious bias into a playable experience. Rather than asking who committed the crime, Face Value asks a broader question: when information is incomplete, how much of our judgement is built from evidence, and how much from perception.

Media

Our BA Media and Communications programme provides an academic, creative and critical understanding of the media for roles in a variety of creative industries and backgrounds. By the end of our Media and Communications degree, you’ll know how to produce creative content across different kinds of media, including writing, camera use, sound recording and post-production/editing. The course supports students in developing a broad portfolio of independent critical and creative outputs, and to explore how their own practice relates to the real-world media and creative industries.
